Look, in my own opinion, I've never been a big fan of prequels/sequels that go out of their way to shoehorn every single familiar or fan-favorite character into the new narrative. Prequel appearances by characters like C-3PO and R2D2 (oh-so-conveniently present in the saga of Anakin Skywalker as they were in the saga of Luke Skywalker) still irks me almost as much as Jar-Jar Binks. On the other hand: an appearance by Ghost Palpatine is intriguing, since we've never seen Sith ghosts onscreen before - and if we're going that route, an appearance by trust-old Obi-Wan's spirit doesn't seem like all that bad of a cameo to

Director Terry Gilliam is known for his offbeat visions of the future, with 12 Monkeys focused on a single prisoner, sent into the past to help scientists cure a worldwide plague that killed billions. The film opens with the hero dreaming of his younger self, watching an unknown man gunned down in a crowded airport. Unsure if the memory is real or imagined, he goes on to learn that the virus was spread on purpose by a single person, and sets out to stop it from ever happening. He fails when airport security shoots him dead in front of his younger self. The boy watches as the plane takes off, setting into motion billions of deaths, and closing the endless time loop the way it be

As a footnote to their report, L-R added that McGregor is apparently pushing for his own standalone film (Disney has since announced its intent to produce standalone Star Wars movies in between "episodes" ). Not only do we think that would be a project with potential - we've already pitched a pretty good story idea for an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie . So, needless to say, we're not opposed to that happening, eit

For an added level of fun for fans, movies and television shows have been known to include easter eggs or subtle references that only the most diligent of viewers will find. But, Disney and Pixar take the inclusion of easter eggs and hidden details to another level. For example, steam key price comparison|https://gamedealhq.com/ Pixar includes references in its films to the next movie slated for release from the studio, while both Disney and Pixar often include easter eggs of other Mouse House characters in their animated featu

In Star Wars chronology, A New Hope takes place roughly 19 years after Revenge of the Sith . In Episode IV , Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness) tells Luke that the Jedi have been wiped out by the Empire, Han Solo openly mocks the concept of the Force, and Jedi Knights are deemed afterthoughts by Imperial officials. This is all less than two decades following Anakin Skywalker's turn to the dark side. In that time, the Empire had killed most of the Jedi (and destroyed their archives at the Temple), and an entire generation of galactic inhabitants grew up knowing only Imperial reg

There are still far too many unknown variables to say with any certainty that this rumored storyline for Edwards' Star Wars spinoff is or is not accurate, though. We still don't know who the majority of the Force Awakens cast are playing in this film universe (the Star Wars OT cast members aside) and even if one of the spinoffs does indeed revolve around a mission to steal the Death Star plans, there's no guarantee it'll be the first one released in theat

You don't have to be a princess just to star in a Disney adventure, only willing to don a disguise to protect your family - and belt out a few musical numbers too. Mulan learned that for herself when she pretended to be a man to join China's forces against the invading Huns in Disney's retelling of the classic story. Its message must have struck a chord with the cast of Lilo and Stitch, since a poster of Mulan hangs on Lilo's sister Nani's wall, and the family even passes a restaurant called "Mulan Wok" when first adopting the trouble-making al

A young Han Solo movie is also rumored to be one of the developing Star Wars spinoffs, possibly the one that Chronicle director Josh Trank is working on; if so, that would help to explain why Han isn't going to appear in Edwards' spinoff, should this rumor pan out. It's canon that Han won the Falcon from Lando Calrissian in a game (see their conversation in The Empire Strikes Back ) - so if we do see the ship in its days before Han owned it, that could mean an appearance by a young Lando is in order (either buying the Falcon or already being its own

... On the other hand, we've also long heard that Lawrence Kasdan - screenwriter of The Empire Strikes Back and co-writer on The Force Awakens - is the one penning the Boba Fett movie ; meaning, Edwards' spinoff (as written by Whitta) could well revolve around the operation to steal the original Death Star's plans, but it might not involve Jango Fett's "son"/clone (or any bounty hunters for that matt

There are some who might say a movie’s entire message is sent by how it begins, and how it ends. But rarely do directors actually treat their first and final shots with so much importance. Unforgettable views, moments of triumph, or witty dialogue can all make a cut-to-black and end credits seem perfectly timed, but some directors go the extra mile, crafting a start and finish that add an extra level of storytelling for viewers paying close attent
