9gxvh1.jpgPUBG is not the first game to offer this experience. Its titular "PlayerUnknown" (real name: Brendan Greene) even worked on battle royales previously, helping develop similar modes as a mod for ARMA 2 , for DayZ , and then as a standalone H1Z1 game before becoming creative director at South Korea's Bluehole Entertainment who made PUBG in less than year - a game that's gone on to win ' Best Multiplayer Game' of 2017 at The Game Awards. What makes PUBG special is that it offers the best version of this experience, even as an incomplete game in early access on

Assuming the mobile port of PUBG is a success, the game will become a true powerhouse and has potential to break video game sales records. Alternatively, Tencent may opt to ditch PUBG 's initial asking price and make a profit using the game's loot box system and microtransactions. Either way, it's hard to see how a mobile version of PUBG won't be a big moneymaker for everyone invol

Formerly hosted by Spike as The Spike Video Game Awards, Keighley went on to produce his own independent award ceremony. Each year since its inception in 2014, a slew of games from that year have been nominated for various categories, ranging from Best Shooter or Best Mobile Game, to the more coveted Developer of the Year, and of course Game of the Year. The games are selected by a secret panel of some sort, with the winners being at least partially voted on by the pub

Taking all of this into consideration, it's great to see Bluehole Studio bringing another feature that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds fans on both PC and Xbox One can enjoy. Without a doubt, the inclusion of the First Person Perspective mode on the console version of the game will help bring more attention to the title overall and potentially pull some Xbox fans away from their time with PUBG competitor Fortni

Paladins: Battlegrounds will be available later this year, but if you want to play the original game to get used to the heroes you will play as, Paladins: Champions of the Realm is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox

Finally, the patch for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds also adds analog stick acceleration when jumping out of the plane and while parachuting. For many, the experience had previously felt painful to experience due to issues with the Xbox One version's performance , and the fact that using the sticks didn't offer any way to speed up and get to the ground faster than the competition. For a complete list of the patch's contents, check out the rundown toward the end of the arti

A few days ago, it was announced that large Chinese video game publisher Tencent would be bringing the wildly popular PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds to China in an official capacity. Today the company announced that not only is it releasing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds in the region, it is also creating a mobile version of the g

Performance aside, PUBG loot guide is simply a bad "shooter" with an awful control scheme on Xbox. Reloading a weapon for instance in the heat of battle requires players to hold down the 'X' button instead of just pressing it quickly. Aiming down sites isn't holding down the left trigger, it's tapping it. Inexplicable, holding down the trigger instead just slightly tightens the crosshair (it does the same on PC). Sometimes it won't even work unless it's tapped perfectly. Getting in and out of vehicles are two separate buttons and if you want to pick up a specific item from a pile of loot on the ground or move mods from one weapon to another, you better hide yourself for a few minutes. PUBG does not work well on consoles at all in its current state and needs another year in the oven. Even the little things, like basic matchmaking problems with friends or typos in the menus, aren't addressed. It's the sloppiest award-winning game, and the poorest performing shooter we've seen on current generation conso

The core concept transfers to the Xbox version, where players still play on 100-person servers and parachute in on the same main map (called Erangel). Currently the Xbox version is strictly third-person (players can change their perspective in-game though), and the gear and vehicles are the same. This version also already has the much anticipated vaulting/climbing mechanics (yes, this is a thing in 2017 we have to get excited about) and a pair of new weap

On top of the mobile game and the landmark PC release, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is also scheduled to make its console debut sooner rather than later. As announced at E3 earlier this year, PUBG is releasing in early access as an Xbox One console exclusive on December 12th. Out of all the versions of the game, it will be interesting to see which one becomes the most popular when it's all said and d

However, if the mobile port of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a flop, then it may stay exclusive to China. We have no idea what kind of changes Tencent will have to implement to make PUBG play well on a mobile platform, and it could potentially compromise the spirit of the game. Similar concerns have been raised about other modifications Tencent is making to PUBG , including alterations to promote "socialist core values" in order for it to release in Ch
